According to an adage, “you attract what is opposite to you.” But how true can you say that is?

Though these things might not look like a big factor in your relationship, they are nonetheless important for you to enjoy each other’s company and also appreciate each other with intense love. But there are some differences in the character of your partner that you will have to overlook. Even if those things get you annoyed, While alone with your partner, or out for some refreshments with a couple of friends.
How will you deal with having to socialise with your partner when all they want to do is sit quietly alone in a room for hours or days?
How will you react to your partner when they develop that deep expression of not communicating with you when needed, or to your friends who ask questions? How are you going to deal with the fact that your partner prefers to do things alone, giving you the impression that you’re the only one in the relationship?
If these characteristics outlined above describe those of your partners, then chances are that you are an extrovert and your partner is an introvert.
Research shows that everyone is unique and that there are two commonly known personalities that people fall into, which are extroversion and introversion. Extroverts like to gather their energy from socialization, unlike introverts. They like being around people and do engage with anyone they find, even if it were to be a stranger, rather than staying alone somewhere with their thoughts. Conversely, introverts gather their energy while alone with their thoughts rather than being with some random people in the name of socializing. They preferred to stay alone all by themselves at home rather than go out to meet a stranger, unlike extroverts. They are drained from spending time with people rather than on themselves, or with very few friends, or only themselves, compared to larger social events.
While it seems hard to adapt to your partner’s distant personality traits, especially when you have lost hope of continuing the relationship, You have to know that when you have a partner with different traits, it means that you will be able to stay balanced anywhere you find yourself equally with someone of the same personality as your partner, as opposed to those who are in a relationship with the same personality traits. It also means that you will be able to accommodate anyone. But how are you going to be comfortable if your partner is introverted while you are an extrovert? How are you going to cope with your partner when they love being alone while you want to socialize? Here are 3 tips that can help you love your introverted partner more.
Understand them.
Whenever you want to sit next to your partner to talk about the day or any sort of such, and they are struggling at the very moment while being with you, you have to understand that they need some time. You need to allow your introverted partner to have their time alone whenever you feel the need to, or show you an attitude that you need to give them their alone time. Allow them to recover from their long day of being out in the social world. Sometimes, you might not know whether they need time alone or not, and a great way of knowing this is by observing their way of responding, whether they are responding in full capacity or not. And if they are not responding fully, you can hold back for a while until they can fully give you the attention and vibes you require.
Your Partner Needs You More.
Don’t think that because your partner is an introvert, all they need is time alone. Even if they are introverts, there are chances that they love doing things and trying new things out. You have to know that your partner needs more time with you than any other person in the world. They also spend quality time with people, especially those they are closer to, which is you. And any kind of introvert will appreciate this. As an extrovert, you are going to be invited to more parties than your partner. While some parties need the two of you to be there, are you going to restrict them from going? What are you going to do in such a situation? By asking them if they would go, how long they would stay among people, and how energised are they with you at the party? Will they be able to cope with you even at the party? I guess most of these answers will be yes, why? Because you are there with them.
Being an extrovert, you know about social things and how they’re done, and your partner needs you more than any other human out there. You can also take them to a place where they will feel at home. You don’t have to leave them alone. All because they are introverts and do love their own company. Take them out, show them love as their partners, and they will appreciate you more because they need you more than any other person out there in the social world.
Don’t Expect Fast Answers.
While trying to ask your partners about important things like places to go for the holidays, what to eat, or anything of the sort, you shouldn’t expect fast answers from them. Introverts are deep thinkers, as they sometimes have to process the pros and cons of what you’ve asked. How is it going to be a great help to the family? Having an introverted partner is something you should be happy about. Introverts are unique people when they love you, it’s true and they can’t hide their feelings from you, even if you both are fighting.
So, if you have an introverted partner, appreciate them more, spend more time with them, because they need you more than any other person out there.
